How MealPlanPartner handles your data.

This policy explains what information MealPlanPartner collects, why we use it, which providers help us run the service, and how you can request access, correction or deletion.

1. Who we are

MealPlanPartner is a meal planning, recipe organisation and shopping list app operated by STZRLabs ("we", "us" or "our"). The app helps households save recipes, plan meals, coordinate preferences, prepare shopping lists and use optional AI-assisted recipe tools.

This policy applies to the MealPlanPartner mobile app, related website pages, support communications and beta signup forms that link to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile data

We collect information needed to create and manage your account, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, display name, app preferences and subscription or account tier.

Household, planning and preference data

MealPlanPartner stores the information you add or generate in the app, including household membership, meal plans, saved recipes, recipe edits, shopping lists, cooking schedules, dietary preferences, allergies, dislikes, reminders and onboarding taste signals.

Recipe import and generated content

If you import or generate recipes, we process the recipe links, source URLs, screenshots or photos you choose to provide, extracted recipe text, recipe metadata, ingredients, method steps and related AI prompts or results.

Purchases and Magic Imports

We process purchase status, product identifiers, entitlement status, Magic Import token balances and token transaction history needed to provide subscriptions, consumable token packs, refunds and purchase restoration.

Device, usage and support data

We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash or error information, notification tokens and app activity needed to operate, secure and improve the service. If you contact support, we collect the information you include in that message.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • create, authenticate and maintain your MealPlanPartner account;
  • sync recipes, plans, households and shopping lists across your devices;
  • personalise meal suggestions using your preferences, history and household settings;
  • run recipe import, image scan and AI recipe generation features you request;
  • manage subscriptions, Magic Import token purchases, token balances and refunds;
  • send meal prep reminders and app notifications where you allow notifications;
  • provide customer support, troubleshoot issues and protect the service; and
  • understand feature performance and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your recipe or household data for third-party advertising.

4. AI, recipe imports and Magic Imports

Some MealPlanPartner features use AI and recipe extraction services to turn links, social posts, web pages, screenshots, photos or prompts into structured recipes. When you choose to use these features, the information needed for that request may be sent to our backend and relevant processing providers.

Magic Imports are consumable credits for higher-cost AI or extraction actions. We record token deductions, purchases and attempted refunds so your balance stays accurate and so failed charged attempts can be handled correctly.

AI-generated or AI-extracted recipes may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always review ingredients, allergens, quantities, timings and cooking instructions before relying on a recipe.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions and consumable purchases are processed by the relevant app store and our purchase management provider. We receive purchase identifiers, entitlement status, renewal or cancellation status and token-pack purchase events so we can unlock paid features, credit Magic Imports and restore purchases.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Billing, cancellation and store refunds are handled by the app store account used to purchase.

6. Service providers and sharing

We use trusted service providers to help us operate MealPlanPartner and deliver the features you choose to use. These providers support functions such as account authentication, secure cloud storage, offline sync, app hosting, customer support, payment and subscription processing, purchase restoration, push notifications, analytics, error monitoring, and AI-assisted recipe import or generation.

We only share the information needed for those providers to perform their services for MealPlanPartner. For example, app store payment processors handle billing, cloud infrastructure providers help store and sync app data, notification services deliver reminders, and AI processing providers process recipe content only when you request import, scan or generation features.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your recipe or household data with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

7. Security, storage and retention

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect your information, including authenticated access, row-level database permissions, secure backend functions and provider controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access to the data needed for the app to function.

We retain account and app data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Some records may be retained for longer where needed for security, fraud prevention, purchase records, legal obligations, dispute resolution or backup integrity. When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or aggregate it where practical.

8. Your choices, rights and account deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal data, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can update many preferences inside the app. To request account deletion, open Profile > Legal & account > Delete account in the app, or email us using the contact details below. Deleting an account removes the account and associated app data unless we need to retain limited information for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, purchase records or legal compliance.

If you belong to a shared household, some shared household data may remain visible to the household owner or other members where needed to preserve the shared plan, recipe or shopping list history. We will explain what applies when responding to your request.

9. Children's privacy

MealPlanPartner is intended for adults and household organisers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as MealPlanPartner changes or as legal, store or provider requirements evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users in the app or by another reasonable method.
